Role Description:

 
We are looking for an experienced Acoustics Engineer to join our loudspeaker R&D team in Shenzhen. You will lead the development of high-quality loudspeaker products, in collaboration with our UK team, from early concept and component selection through prototype validation, sound-quality tuning and production release.

Key Responsibilities:

 
  • Lead the acoustic design and tuning of drive units, enclosures, crossover networks and complete loudspeaker systems
  • Define target performance and sound-quality signatures through objective measurement, benchmarking and critical listening
  • Select and validate drivers, cabinets, ports, passive radiators, damping materials and crossover components
  • Optimise acoustic, mechanical and manufacturing performance across prototypes and production products
  • Conduct product validation, establish technical specifications and define acoustic quality-acceptance criteria
  • Work closely with mechanical, electronics, industrial design and manufacturing teams to resolve development and production issues
 

What We Are Looking For:

 
  • A degree in Acoustics, Physics, Audio/Electroacoustic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years’ practical experience developing loudspeakers or other electroacoustic products
  • Strong knowledge of driver–enclosure matching, crossover design, loudspeaker tuning, and acoustic measurement
  • Excellent subjective listening and sound-quality evaluation skills
  • Experience with tools such as SoundCheck, Klippel, CLIO, Audio Precision, or similar
  • Experience with COMSOL, loudspeaker simulation tools, and design-for-manufacture is highly desirable
  • Strong English communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a hands-on, cross-functional R&D environment
