Huntingdon is a market town in Cambridgeshire, England, chartered by King John in 1205. Widely referred to as the home of Hi-FI, Huntingdon has a long-standing tradition of producing some the UK’s finest audio brands, and is fittingly the home of IAG UK.
IAG UK is based in Huntingdon, the home of British Hi-Fi. From here it distributes all of the group’s brands to the UK and Eire markets, supporting wider distribution partners in Europe and beyond too.
IAG UK was set up in September 1997, following the IAG Group’s acquisition of the Wharfedale, QUAD, Leak, Ekco and Castle brands. Since then, IAG Group’s product design and electronics engineers have lead the development of products, solutions and technology, with a host of irreplaceable talent retained to this day.
In 2004 IAG Group added Audiolab to its family. And, in June 2005, the Mission brand was also acquired, adding more expertise, talent and intellectual property to the UK lead teams.
IAG UK’s current sales, servicing and product development staff is made up of personnel who have a long history with these famous brands including the world0famous Quad Service department.
With more than 200 years of experience of working on the IAG Group brand’s products between its staff, the IAG UK Service department is among the most respected in the Hi-Fi trade.
In 2020, the IAG Group’s internal investment continues with the reintroduction of manufacturing at the IAG UK site.
A wave of premium, made in the UK products will be unveiled from 2021, embracing the nostalgia and legacy of the IAG Group brands.
